Do you know about the National Parks in Utah often referred to as the Mighty Five? This group of National Parks includes Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyon Lands, Capital Reef, and Zion. These parks are spread across 1,310 square miles in southern Utah. If that’s not enough for you, Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument is nearby, as are some 45 other National Recreation Areas and Utah State Parks.
If you’re an outdoor activity enthusiast, a lover of nature, or just need to find a peaceful getaway, the opportunities are endless here. Of course there are walking, hiking, picnicking, and biking, but for those who want to step it up a bit, look into river rafting, horse or mule riding, exploring and stargazing. There are oh so many beautiful things to see.
Whether your planning to camp under the stars in a sleeping bag, setting up a camper, or booking a luxury resort, these parks and surrounding areas have a great variety of accommodations. While there are many websites to research, below are two to start with. Since these parks are so big and there’s so much to see, return trips are a must. We’re planning our next trip this summer. How about you?
